I've started a new 3d models section on my website : http://www.thegameszone.tk. I'll be adding new models whenever I make them. I make the models in wings, but I cannot texture them. I have downloaded lithunwrap, but when I load the object in, it says there are no UV coordinates...what am I supposed to do?
Here are some pictures:

Can anybody help me out with texturing them?
Thanks
Robin

Don't take any notice of Lith saying that there's NO UV's ..... that's because you need to make them.

Just load your model into Lith + select a group which you want to map + UVmap it using one of the mapping options ( Planner map - box map - cylinder map ) etc etc etc.

Then save your model + save out your UVmap template ready for texturing.

Ok...in the model there are about 20 groups. i rightclick on the group from the menu on the right and then go to select. then I go to apply box mapping, and the faces are all layed out nicely. I can then load a bitmap as a new material, but how can I then apply the bitmap onto a specific face?

Thanks
Robin

First map ALL of your groups ....... then lay them out next to each other ( so that they fit nicely onto your template )

SAVE your model.

Then export your UVmap as a .bmp template and load it into your paint program ( PS, PSP7 etc etc ) now just add your textures or pain't your skin.

Then load your model into Lith or your modeling software and assign your skin. ( if loaded into Lith, it will load automatically with your model )

Thats it !!
