Simply get a blackmark bitmap, then make a 2D square to put down over the ground its on, and wala! Skidmarks!

Smoke? use a Fog command.

Do you know triganometry? Use that to work out the position, otherwise use "newxvalue()" and "newzvalue()". There is a help file on it, and many example codes (e.g. The third person demo), just look in the DB help.

Oh, and for smoke, you want to use a textured plane facing the camera all the time with a smoke pattern on it, then control it to make it rise and fade and shrink, the tank demo has smoke, look on that.

You can set the position relative to the car, and the angle relative to the camera.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, set the position of the skid relative to the car, same as you did with the camera, except you don't keep positioning it, you just place it on the ground and leave it.
