Hey, AI, just noticed that you've got quite a lengthy list of weapons in the game. How are you going to fit them all in?

@ gunn3r: For the demo, you mean? That'd be greatly appreciated.
@ The Toasty: Well, there are a select few weapons for each level, so the weapons will be somewhat balanced towards the bigger weapons, like more automatic weapons, shotguns, and/or explosives than pistols.

I'm holding a small poll here: to the point, who wants Kola multiplayer?

Yeah, but weapons carry on through levels, and you can only have 9 weapons at once. Unless each level was a seperate exe.

I just want some sort of single player first...

AI, why would a merc carry a J22 for general combat? Pocket pistols are known to be very inaccurate. A Gatt22 would be more fitting.

And for the Russian warehouse, French, German, and Russian weapons would be very fitting.

OK then, Kola will not be multiplayer. I'll be working on level 1 today, and put screens up when necessary.

Double post, my apologies. I have a new screen for you people, it is a different view of the same room. I am reloading my M4CQBR in this pic.

I also request a bit of voice acting. I need a very believable, tough-sounding soldier talking via radio to his teammates in a Russian accent. Here is the script:
Soldier 1: Comrades, today is he day. Sources indicate that an American commando is somewhere inside this building. He must be captured or killed at all costs.
Soldier 2: Yes sir!
Soldier 5: Sir, I've got three men breaching the stairwell. One of them has a shotgun; the commando should be captured in no time at all.
Soldier 3: Nobody move, I repeat hold your posit--
Soldier 1: Sergei, are you alright? Sergei, answer me!!
Soldier 4: Sir, he is dead. There may be many other commandos around here.
Soldier 1: Oh God Almighty. Spread out and find them, then!! That is a direct order!

Then when you enter the stairwell, three soldiers will appear in the room via Trigger-Zone. Instead of getting many e-mails per audition, just post them as a .wav attachment, thank you.

That "god almighty" sounds too american. Make him say something about Stalin.

Sorry, once again, for the double post, but..NEW SCREENY!! (caps off)

This battle was actually very interesting, because the Riot Guard with the shotgun I am now holding heard the door open upstairs and shot a cartridge from his weapon, as if to scare the player. Scared me, I didn't expect that, it was sorta realistic. You're in a small room, and you hear footsteps above you, you'd probably shoot a bullet as to scare the intruder. The soldier was facing the door, and rat-ta-tat-ta-tat, he's dead. I wish I'd have recorded it, it was the most chilling and coolest experience I ever had with FPSC. Anyways, rate the pic x/10, and leave a comment for me to read in the morning.

Okay, I'd rate that at about 8-9 out of 10. It's pretty good, good entity placement and lightmapping.

I wouldn't give it a ten simply because it doesn't show anything especially cool or special. It's still good tho.

So you're finaly making a game this time

Good luck buddy

LOL.

New screen! I have equipped an AK74M I got from the floor and is pointing at a wall near the storage area. I am currently considering revising this whole part of the level (expect for the storage area) because what I currently have is downright ugly. Expect new screens and possibly a demo this weekend. Next week, we have testing going on at school, but I'll still mess around with Kola, just not a lot.

Just a bump so Kola doesn't get buried...

Level 1 will be redone. It'll still be a warehouse, but more of a general warehouse, with some boxed weaponry.

Whaaa....?

Kola's level 1 is currently undecided (AI strikes again), but I am currently thinking of making it in the town of Kola. Here's a story to go with it:

*I never thought that being in the 101st (US Airborne, Screamin' Eagles, in case you didn't know) could be so deadly. Our objective was to sneak into a town somewhere in the Kola Peninsula and disable a battery so the SEALs can reach the town without a hassle. Readying my M4CQBR, I thought about the parents back at home; worrying over a 21 year old. Very scary being in the Airborne, falling into trees, allies dying all around you, stuff like that. I pray to God that we get out of this alive...We've reached the town of Kola, but to my chagrin, snipers in the towers have shot down most of my squad. I'm on my own now, nowhere to run...a dead end.*

Please rate the story x/10 and leave some comments.

Yeah, now level 1 will an abandoned power plant that the terrorists are using as a bunker. I just can't seem to do an outside area; too much of a hassle. The terrorists are hiding a bomb underground that can wipe out the power plant, which in turn will wipe out the area it's in.

big electrical generators just equals no electricity no explosion and if its abandoned then it will be turned off meaning even less of of a chance of an explosion

Because it does...

A young soldier, parents back home, all of it.

And the fact you've changed again means nothing, we all still expect the promised demo...

Well, how about a solo paratrooper who is infiltrating an abandoned power plant? And he could be, say, 47 years of age? I think playing as an older, seasoned soldier would make the game more unique rather than "your young goofball you see in typical shooters" (as quoted by Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell: Behind the Scenes).

Here's a screen of a small barracks in the power plant. I need ideas for what weapons should be in level 1 here?
