Why doesent fpsc x-10 support anti-alising???
when i do a level it looks like crap with all those jagged edges!
Got a Geforce 8800gt 512mb oc2 and a great system that i payed lots of cash on ,but still the jagged edges!
please TGC add support for anti-alising !
first then it will be a great product!!!!
very unhappy with this!
Am i the only one who ´got problems with the edges??????????

I believe that is set using a utility for your graphics card or in Vista. It's not FPSC. I think this has been discussed before. Try a search through the forums.

X10 is anti-aliased by default for me. I'm pretty sure when I installed the 8800 driver it asked me what global setting to use, and I chose the "best quality" option. So yeah, just check your driver utility, probably sitting in your taskbar.

try opening your graphics card settings, you can put a check for what quality in the anti alaisng, click on your desktop and display etc, that may do it.

i got the setting on best quality!
and i tried all the settings on the graphic card!
with none or little diffrences!
whatever i do thoose edges are still there!
)I wonder if nvidia isnt really finnished with drivers who will
work totally under vista !
if youre going to nvidia controlpanel and click on help
and click on settings for 3d games i think it said.
That nvidia drivers is currently under development for vista
and that all function dont work yet with vista to 100%

I've got an 8800 512mb and it works fine. Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

I've got an 8800 GTS 640 mb and I'm pretty sure I don't have best for quality and don't really have a problem with any edges. However, I have a widescreen monitor that runs at a very high resolution that might be hiding it from obvious view.

Personally, while I like anistropic filtering, I don't see the big deal with AA...

Why don't you take a screen shot of these edge, and point them out, so we can tell what exactly you are seeing?

I wouldn't be so sure Zeppelin, the two programs can look similar if the hud is hidden and all the effects are turned off.

I don't get it, why didn't you post an X10 screen? Also, the image has been resized. Unless my browser is doing it?

Ricwid I have a solution to your problem, buy a really small 14" screen.

Then you won't be able to see the pixels as easily.

You're just not making any sense. I can't tell what you want from us. If you want help, run X10, build a level, test it and post the screenshot. What's so difficult about that? This board is dedicated to X10.

@Ricwind: It's not really what I would call a problem. There's always going to be pixels there, no matter how small you make them.

Dude, millions of games have that in. It's just that you're at an angle so the model can't re-arrange itself to face the player. Plus, it's cause of the polygons. I would take Storm 6k s advice as well.

First, I wanna shoot Hale. Then, I wanna shoot me Menial mate. Then, I wanna shoot meself. Then, I wanna play Resistance with my dead crap Ragdoll physics...

What commercial software with more than 5,000 lines of code is? However, I don't think it's x-10 since most of us are fine. Are you posting this issue on Microsoft and Nvidia boards?

You're about to give up a great, cheap game-dev tool because there's no AA currently in?
Seriously, do you care about ANYTHING except the graphics? Jesus christ...

Mabey its your monitor?

check that

And try this:
1)UNINSTALL the Video drivers.
2)Completely remove the card out of your box
3)If you have Onboard-Video (which most people have) (if not then move to 4)then test it with that. See if the jagged edges go away.
4)Re install the "NEWEST"drivers and card.
5)then test

pain

Me = noob

and i love The TGC : )

Ive tried that now! no difference!
whats missing is support for anti-alising
thats whats missing! And if fpsc x-10 doesent support anti-alising
we never get rid of those jagged edges!

Look, it really isn't the program. It's something to do with your driver settings, or the driver itself. I know these things can drive you nuts, but you can persist. Try uninstalling the driver. Then, use the windows default driver. Then, download the latest driver, and install that.
I have very similar specs to yours, and it's working fine.
