what exactly happen ?
Crashs ?
Can you contact me directly on MSN or on support (at) odyssey-creators.com to explain me exactly which ones don't work on your VISTA, which configuration do you have (updated ?) so I can test on my VISTA and try to reproduce these problems and fix them.

Freddix : So, Windows Vista crashes at XGUI SETUP command, Its classic error, when program doesnt respond. So, Lots of examples with that command doesnt work. XFont Setup Font too.

new features: It would be nice to know, what position sun has. (flares, shadows etc) RTSsky are excelent, but in some places, you can see, that sky isnt half of sphere, clouds goes strange on some places

@Duffer: I will release it before next week-end. New version is ready. I only have to prepare setup and upload it for all registered users.

@wh1sp3r: Ok, I'll check for this on my VISTA (I must admit that I rarely use it) Ok, I'll check for this idea but there is actually a workaround. Use command :



With:
SkyID = 3 -> Sun
SkyID = 4 -> Moon

After this, simply use DarkBASIC Professional Object Position X/Y/Z() commands to know where the object is.

I can maybe create a command that will give a position relative to the camera to get a result range within : -1.0 to 1.0
for each axis.
Is it what you want to have ?

hey freddix, do you remember the problem i had with the skybox, it's still to small, set auto zoom doesnt work any more than it did, i've resorted to using hide object 11 in my code so it'll look better but it is annoying.

I think I will also check the new bitmap feature available in U6.7 to create bitmap in SYSTEM MEMORY to see if it improves eXtends 2D GUI system...

I've made some tests and effectively, I also experienced crash with XFont under Windows VISTA.
I started to investigate to find the problem.
This fix will be a priority fix for next upgrade.

Hi, I have the crash under VISTA but I didn't find the origin of this. If I insert some debug output texts ... the crash problem is displaced to later in the program ... I suspect that there are some text I/O issues somewhere ... I must investigate more on this but I can only do this on Saturday...

When using Diggsey's ViewGUI system and eXtends there is an error generated because your plugin for some reason creates true/false constants.

Is there some way to deactivate this feature?

As long as my code had either of the included constants that the system requires it did not function until it was removed.

Freddix: sample ? just run your example with Xgui on Vista 64bit. Every example, which use Xgui does not work. Windows Says, that program stop responding.

On the beginning of my XGUI sample
and run it ?

NOTE : I've reproduced the crash on Windows VISTA but not the problem with FALSE/TRUE ... that's why I asked for a sample.

Yes I know .. I've found that the app crash when it call the CreateDeleteString From DarkBASIC Professional but don't understand why ... Mike did take a look at this too without finding the solution.
Actually to fix this crash under Windows VISTA, you must use a work around by running your compiled program under Compatibility MODE set to Windows 98 ... until I fix this ... we must make proof test with Mike concerning this Issue.

How do you actually uninstall extends? I don't have an uninstall icon in the start menu or in the control panel Add/remove?
