Thanx to the help of 'yellow' and 'froggermonSSE', I was able to know which shape to use to create the blade.

thats not great, but for a first it would be good as a rpg sword that doesn't take up to many polys

You need to put ( http:// ) in front of your link .. and avoid .bmp if poss. Just think of all those poor 56k slowdems still in use !!!

56k'ers - like me!

Anyway, for a first model it's not bad - the shape of the blade is good, but the hilt could do with some work. I think it's because it's smooth shaded and high on polygons, much unlike the blade, and so the two seem a bit disjointed. It also wouldn't hurt to narrow the blade a bit nearer to the hilt. Keep up the good work!

Not bad, I can at least see that you've used the scaling tool, which is a tool I had neglected for a long time in wings3d.

@ dragonmstr

I think the reson the sword color isnt silver is because you made the sword a gif image. Gifs have a problem in they darken the colors. But BTW, it looks better than my first sword made in MS3D, but I later learned how to extrude & do some other things to it to make it look better, but mine still needs work (pretty much a better skin.)

@ everybody

Do you have to have an actual website that is hosted not free to link to pictures like that? I have a few that I wouldnt mind posting, but im not sure if I can do a direct link like that.

I think your animated sword is great, though I don't have a texturer at the moment, so I'm just looking around.

Materials are different from textures, which use UV coordinates.
