Ummm...you might Contact Customer service.I honestly don't know what happened.
You might do a system restore to before this happened and try again.
Do you have the system requirements (Vista,Vista card and x10)?This could be any number of things.Sometimes there can be a glitch or you could have accidently sent the icon that goes to your drive to the Recycle Bin.Don't laugh...I have done it before.

RIP Floating Skull unknown-2007 we will miss you in FPSC x10

The IDE cable or power connector could have fallen out of the back of the drive if you've moved it anywhere recently, or it has taken a few bumps. Open up the case any make sure it's all firmly in place.

It's a laptop though, unless you know what you are doing, get a pro to do it. I had to eyeball my service manuals for an hour to take apart my laptop.

The same thing happened to me, the same day as it arrives, my pc with the 8800 packs in, i ended up just transferring the files from the cd, onto my laptop then onto my portable hard drive and installing it, thats the only think i can suggest.

LETS START A FIRE
