ok I got a friend thats dumb well he dosent know much about computers and i he is asking me how to modify a game....OK what i am trying to do is that when he opens this executable it takes him to the file modifies it for him then exits but asks him if he wants to allow the change ....... o and by the way the file is a .ini

..Thanks in advanced if you can help

it sounds to me like a different language would be better suited to this job (wait can i say that on this forum?) i mean yes this would be possible. look up the "input" part of DB help files. that should show you how to manipulate files (load save etc) not sure if you would be able to edit the files in the right way though as ive never used these commands. wouldnt it be easier to teach your friend how to edit the files himself?

oh you mean cheat on DB games? i pressumed they wanted to open .ini files from comercial(argh my spelling sucks) games. wait it says in the post that the file to edit is an .ini
