I just bought it because I had a CRAPPY time converting my code from DB to DBP, so I bought Enchanced.

It apparently has some mutliplayer / FTP commands, but are there any tutorials out / with it? Thnx.

Yes any help would be nice. I *would* like an example of a chat program, because modifying the given example is like stabbing myself through the heart.

Would anybody recommend FTP over TCP/IP for an mmorpg??

I dunno if FTP would slow it down or not @_@.

i would go with tcp. i think (not very cleva so correct me if im wrong) but i think with ftp one computer would have make file's containing the information then send it to the other computer that would then have to load the file. however i think tcp could be sent over a network without storing it all in files.

Good point.

But, a good thing about FTP, is that I could write a PHP script on the server that is running or w/e, and calls up the data in the mysql database and spits it out for the DBE program. Would be MUCH more efficiant, and no data loss would almost ever accour..hmmmm..

Now this sucks, mental battle between TCP/IP & FTP ^_^!

Nope. TCP/IP is direct and instant. Its more good for card games, FPS where u don't have to save, etc. I want to save data on my server, so I guess TCP/IP isn't for me.

I really need somebody else giving me an opinion in here lol..I don't like to be single sighted.

couldnt you make something that intercepts the tcp stuff and writes it to a file so it can be used direct but if something is needed on the server then make it intercept and write them to a file. sorry im not much use just suggesting stuff in hopes it might work.

Nevermind for everything. One of the examples in DBE had a nice 3D game which I tried with somebody, and it works, so you can ignore this topic - I'll just steal code from that ^_^!

heh here a better one, except the scrollbar doesnt work.
You can test it by opening the same file while the other ones running. Youll have to change the ip.
Sorry i didnt put in any remarks.
