heh. well, i can see why it got blammed. some constructive criticism:
1) it's too choppy. add more frames and smooth it out. maybe slow it down? it just seems to be over as soon as it starts and is somewhat confusing.
2) a little color goes a long way (even just a dark green for the horizon and tree would help develop "perspective").
3) it's extremely light on content; ie, it's "barely" amusing. instead of a minimal "guy walks himself off a cliff" how about something like:
camera 1) man reading a newspaper while going for a walk
camera 2) bird, sitting in a tree, watching man. sensing "trouble"
camera 1) man reaches cliff edge, arms raise
camera 3) zoom shot of foot teetering on edge
camera 2) bird covers his eyes with wings
camera 1) man falls off the edge / newspaper suspended in mid-air
camera 2) bird covers "ears" with wings
camera 1) BOOM!
bottom line, flesh the idea out a bit more. set it up and deliver the goods.
the cartoony/sketch effect is cool. keep working on this
