i've done this settings menu that's concerned with resolution and video settings, how can i save these settings in which the program will load them next time i open them?

you should write the settings in a file. I have done this several times in my progs. It isn't hard. Read the help files of making and writing to files. Next time you should set the program to read the file. Read the help file of opening to read. Then you'll propably need the command read string. There's no need for writing the settings with long strings with letters. You can store the setting with numbers and make the settings file smaller. This should help you. If you have any questions just post them. I'm not be maybe able to answer very soon to all questions cause I'm in my summer vacation cabin and writing with library's computer.
