FPS Creator X10 / fpx 10 update

Downloaded update now when the program starts is says ...checking fpsx10 creator files.....for the last hour.Same thing if I do a restart or put origional disk in.
Any help please?

Did you check your order history and download the latest patch?
If you have the autoupdater turned on and you start x10 it automatically checks for updates so if you are not connected to the net or your firewall is up or whatever that may be an issue as well.

Well I uninstalled fpsx10 twice but it would not deleat the map editor so I renamed it with a .bak.I have full rights to deleat any files but that one just said no!
I reinstalled fpsx10 and started it but I have the same message on the screen ....checking fpx10 files for you..... half hour later.
I turned off the firewall before doing any of this but still no luck.I cannot go as far as formatting the drive as it's 500gb.
Thank you in advance but please help as I have not been able to run fpsx10 since doing the update.

I have now been able to download the updat but it asked me to retry abor or skip 2 files.I had to skip the editor file updat and one other file not sure whichas I can't do it again as it now says that I am up to date though not on these two files I would have thought the editor update was important and probably the other file.
What would you advise please?
