I am unable to load any 3ds files.

I tried to make a simple box.

box.3ds and load it but it always fails to load.

Do you get any error messages? Or does it just not show up? Try making the camera able to rotate with the arrow keys. Look around and see if you can find it. Also, make sure that it is not hidden and within range of the camera.

I was able to get x files working so I am moving on to making a skybox. Thanks

I would get an error message saying unable to load object at line number whatever... I am not sure why.

you can't load 3ds they've taken out support... although the help says its back - it isn't you'll only hang your program.

use the other formats if possible, hopefully U5 will give us back this format

sorry, are you using DBPro? ... ...

I've been messing around with 3D Studio Max objects and they load in to Dark Basic Classic really really easily...just a matter of : " load object "box.3ds",1 " ...job done.

I just thought, have you got the file in its own directory or the same one as your source code? ..just saying because if its in another directory you have to point the load object command at the file...i.e. " load object "C:\3d_studio_max_models\box.3ds",1 "
