I never took time to look past first page(hoping some or all of you know how to script cause I don't) I'm trying to make it where Soldiers and Zombies fight each other(like Wolfenstien where Nazi's battle Zombies if your far from them)

anyone know where I can find a tutorial? or at least some help on making it?

I suggest you should try making more simple scripts first, and find out how the syntax works. Then try this idea, its not easy since FPSC does not exactly like Allies... Very little have done it without mods, but it was FAR from perfect.

The reason I mentioned allies, is because you will also face the problem of having to get NPC's attack NPC's, and actually deal damage to eachother. That is the hardest part of it all.

That's a problem, I don't know how to script, I was hoping someone would lead me to a tutorial or something like that.

@Da Doom Guy:

Sorry for those two. It can get a little tense in here trying to teach newbs to the boards how to search.

Anyway, to help you along:

At the bottom of the pages in the forums, there's a box called "Thread Subject Search". Type in that box: "Tutorial" and tick the option for "Just this board". That should bring up all the Tutorials that have been made in the Script board.

Hope you have fun. And also, most every tutorial here has been added to Nickydude's Guide which can be found in a sticky on the FPSC Chat board.

At least I asked how, rather than:"Can you guys make me a script plz? tyvm" lol.

I think I asked earlier(for one) but no more, lol.

Yes, you can use wordpad.
That's what I use for FPI scripting.

start with the basics i began by binding the efx mod scripts (which turned out to be really easy) and i went from there, were never ever gonna be as good a plystire but its worth it anyway.

i wouldn't bother going into allies and enemies fighting because you might as well get DBpro and darkai and learn to use that

Scripts - why are they such a pain?

After many years of programming i feel very frustrated by 'scripting' - simple idea's just seen to take an age to accomplish (is it me, or the language?)
Limitations are becoming more apparent by the day.
E.G - make a character go to a table, pick up a pen, write a note, give the note another character and walk away.
Am i asking too much?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Chris.
