I have a AVI file that I recorded. It is too large (more than 250 MB). Is there any way to make it support MPEG-2 reduction??

A movie-studio program should accompany your video camera. It should most likely have a "render", "output" or "save as" button. Load your movie file into that program and chose a decoder to save the movie with.

If you can't find any MPEG-2 decoder on the list of decoders, then you most likely don't have any installed. Go download a decoder pack.

I couldn't be more spesific since you provided some scarce info.
