Hi
I'm using XP. I've just installed my retail version of Fastrack DB and ran the upgrade patch.

I'm now getting a message every time I start DB that says that I need a valid disc for the enhancements. What does that mean? My install disc is in the drive it still gives the same results. Will I not be able to access the improved features of version 1.13?

you get a demo of the enhancement kit included with patch 1.13, that will run out after a month (not the patch..just the enhanced bit) and never bother you again (but if you buy Darkmatter then you get the full upgrade and the disk will validate the install), so if you use the enhanced commands then make sure you compile your final exe`s before the month is out, actualy, if you want the enhanced commands and way more speed then you might like to take a look at Pro, (but wait for the revised p5 demo), cheers.

JOhnz-the same happens to me - when you upgrade to 1.13 you get a 30 day trial of DBC enhanced, and then when it runs out, it keeps on telling you that it has ran out every time you load DB. it happened to me too. i've got xp too - maybe its something to do with that - no body else has said anything about it...You still have version 1.13, just not enhanced which means you cant use dlls and internet multiplayer anymore, which you would do it you have DB enhanced.
basically just ignore it. click when DB loads up and it goes

Buy darkmatter or the enhanced version to use the enhanced commands more than 30 days..

so it normally says 'insert correct CD' 30 days after you've upgraded to 1.13, and you don't have the enhancement pack?

It's weird. I used the 1.13 from the DB site, and I'm sure Ive passed 30 days and it hasn't run out. The one with the DArkMatter CD is v1.10, so I guess I must have installed that and then installed the 1.13.

i havent even upgraded to 1.13, im @ 1.12 and i have had db for over a year, and it hasnt run out

v1.10 has the full enchanced upgrade, that is why.
