I do have to give himbunches of kudos for doing it himself. But there are still those of use who cannot and probably will not be able to create their own. I don't beg, but I do watch for great models like this. I also will probably buy just about every character that shows up in the store and I have already gotten most of the model packs.

Two thumbs up Daniel wright 2311.

This application looks awesome, I can't believe you can download and register for a fully working free beta at the moment. I just got my serial.

I'm impressed you can model so organically with this and then actually paint the model. I thought that kind of thing was zbrush only and certainly not free.

Noticed this robot made with it on youtube. Good find man thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to watching your devil tutorial and trying something out. How long?

Do you export as .obj with uv map then import into milkshape, rig and export as .x or other?

well sort of, i export in to .obj, then i load up intp 3ds max to reduse the polt count, then rig with a skeliton. then i use the animations from the fps web site on the skeliton. then i export into bolth .3ds for milkshape and back to .obj for uv maper pro.

mapper< then import and animate it in max. It works for me.

either way, i guess i dipends on what you animate in, i add the animations in 3ds max, but then i add more in milkshape.if i could animate in 3ds max then i would for shure.im just lerning scripts, so pretty soon ill have scripts to my animations.

just a update on painting, showering your models with fades of paint makes them look more real.he needs alot more work but he is coming along, this is in low poly.

@Darimc

There are a couple of very good tutorials on the forums for that already. Lets not ask too much of this guy, especially if it would be duplicating existing tutorials.

@Daniel

Your work continues to impress and improve. I still cant believe the model painting feature is in this free beta.

This has the potential to give the 3DSMax boys a run for their money. I've always wondered why there wasn't a modelling app that allowed you to focus on the job of creating a good organic model rather than studying for a masters degree in Max.

I'm glad I hung on for a while now.

ill do a tutt for making models fps ready i dont mind, but ill just do it the way it needs to be done.

Nomad Soul

i know what you mean, it is better then 3ds max. people just dont know, the only thing is 3ds max has many difrent tools that cb model pro dont as cb model models better faster and paints, then exports the uv map directly. but 3d max has alot of stuff that cb model pro dont like bibed, where you rig the guys with a skeliton.
even milkshape has alot more difrent fetures but as for moding this is the best ive ever used

It's not the getting them fpsc ready, it's the animating that I can't do. By the way, I just posted my first human model in 3d chat, check my profile to see the thread.

hey i didnt read this thread entirely but your modeling in cb pro? isnt that Wayyyyyyyy too high poly for fpsc? or are you reducing poly count in milkshape or something, because if i knew that they worked in fpsc i would have been making characters in it awhile back lol. ps. great work.
