hi all
have you wanted to make your own fpsc characters but dont know how to get started ? well ive made a character base model for you just load it into your 3d modeling program & edit the mesh & tadah you have your own unique character .

and here are a few shots of a character i made from it ,its not fully textured but it gives you an idea what you can make from it if you put a bit of time into it (took me about 2 hours to edit the mesh & uv map it .then about 20 mins for the texture )

if you want the mesh let me know what format you want it in & i will send it to you .

cheers henry

For the amount of polies I can see this very usable.
Accompanied by a nice texture this can work very well.
Not bad dude not bad...

Thanks Henry Ham

Would it be possible to provide a male version of the model?

Also .X format should be fine for everyone. You can get a .X plugin / importer / exporter for most modelling applications. Or .obj which is supported by everything. Since the model doesn't contain custom animations it won't matter that its .obj

Good work and nice contribution. Having a decent base mesh for people is really useful.

I too would like to know the license situation with this and would you mind if people you have provided too can upload their file format to this thread for others. A mesh file with no animations or texture should be pretty small in all cases.

Thanks

your free to do as you like with it mate ,i made it to help people who dont know how to get started with a basic human form .think of it as a basic cube in your modeling app .

it can be used for male & female models its all down to how you edit it mate .

henry ham,

Is your base model already rigged and animated?

This is a very generous offer. Many will greatly appreciate this gesture, no no doubt.

Thanks,

Seth Black

no mate ,think of it like a cube in your modeling program, its just a cube till you start editing it then it can become anything you want.

If possible, I'd like to tool around with this... It'd be a nice start for a character that I was thinking of.

As for the file format, .obj would be nice...

Thanks a bunch for this. This helps out a lot, Henry.

Why you can't just make normal download? Why send it with e-mail to every FPSC user in earth?

What 56k warning means?

Just release it on filefront. And look at the download count
And simply release a obj and 3ds version. Like every 3D Application can import/export obj/3ds
