when i try and shell execute a EXE file it donsnt work and comes up whith an error message about not bieng able to create dirictdraw specs or somthing but when i open it on its own it runs fine what is the prob. :-s
help

here is my code

EXECUTE FILE "BEGGINING.exe",COMMANDLINE$,DIRECTORY$,1
WAIT 200000

here is the error message

system error 163: failed to set cooperative level for direct draw

you must run the first program in a window to be able to shell out .

the program which you are trying to shell too needs directx

because darkbasic is already using directx it wont run

in plain english darkbasic does't want to share directx with that other program

My programs don't crash... your computer does
