Umm... When i'm running DB i might minimize it by pressing F8 once in awhile to look at another code, the names of bitmaps, ect. If i'm programming for a long time like 20-30 minutes. Then when i minimize it it goes: This program has performed an ilegal blah blah blah. You know that alert. Then it does it again and my computer is left just sitting there doin nothing and showing nothing except the background and i need to restart, any idea WHY it does this???

dunno, why it does that, i've never experienced this problem myself, but i used DarkEdit, its pretty cool.

Whatever it is the answer's no!

try reinstalling DB, if that didnt work try checking ur HardDisk for errors. and if ur working with alot of programs all at the same time try closing some of them, they might zap ur resources memory.

If you are using the original Dark Basic editor, try using Alt-Tab to switch between DB and your other applications.

Also, consider switching to DarkEdit or another Windows-based editor. It's a lot easier to use and gives you extra features not available with the original. Being a Windows app, you won't get the problem you are now having.
