I have decided to make a weapons pack. All of the weapons will have mp6 hands attached. It will most likely be free. Here is the first weapon, an animated crowbar with hands. I will be starting with melee weapons so you can make a request if you wish.

@lukex10, In the first post, I said that I was working on melee weapons right now (with the exception of my revolver). So I am taking melee requests.

@Nathan, The crowbar is fully 3d (made from a cylinder), but the texture does kind of make it look that way. I will try to fix it. And his request probably wouldn't be too advanced, but I would like to get the melee section of the pack done first.

Anyway, here is the next weapon, a really cool (and bloody) saw thingy. Screen shot attached. I know I said I was doing melee weapons, but I have already finished importing a revolver, I will show screens soon.

@Adriano jones, Thanks.

@CG, Someone told me that a while back... But it is actually supposed to look like that, you will be impressed when you actually get to use it, I promise you that.

Here is the first firearm, a revolver. It is based on a webley, please tell me what you think.

Look two posts above, it is better in game and it supposed to look like that. You guys don't know how hard it is to make this stuff and animate it.

I know how hard it is to make it darmic. I am a modeler myself. on the other hand, the program I use is more powerfull then melk shape, so I'll cut you some slak.

I don't use milkshape... And it's not the modeling, I just don't want to reanimate it.

weapon creator doesnt actually model weapons....you have to import your own weapons animated and everything, then it just lets you addd the muzzleflash, sound and other stuff

@Robert, the texture is attached.

@djmaster, I'll think about it.

@BVG, I use anim8or to modeler, milkshape to align and animate and fragmotion to export.

I think, that if you lowered the contrast and/or saturation on the model, and gave the red a slightly more orange tone, it would look slightly better. In fact, I think I'll try and see if it does improve it, if you don't mind, darimc.

Here's what I came up with, it's just a slight modification to make it look less saturated. It was a nice texture overall, so other mods were not neccessary.

Darimc, could you email me some kind of model file for the positioning of that weapon, because I need a.. template to base the position of my weapon with it's animations. Then i acn try and make my own weapon pack I obviously wont need texture.

This is the easiest way to do it:

1.Download the fragmotion trial.
2.Take any weapon that is in fpsc and import it into fragmotion.
4.Export from fragmotion into a .ms3d file.
3.Open the weapon in milkshape. Line your weapon up with it, then animate your gun. (Make sure to delete the old gun)
4.Save as .ms3d.
5.Open your animated gun in fragmotion.
6.Check to make sure the verticies aren't messed up. If they are, assign the messed up ones to the right bone.
7.Export as a .x file.
8.Use the gunspec of your template weapon for your gun.

That's it, I won't be around for a week (unless I can reach a computer), so I won't be able to help if there's problems until next Wednesday. If you leave a question, I will answer once I get back.

I dont use milkshape. And if i do import them in to max, it's in the default pose for frame one, which is below the screen anyway.

spekin' of mcy D's, that reminds me of a story I heard once....
long story short, this guy went to a mcy Ds, ordered some mc nuggets, sat down, and said in a loud voice, "HEY, it's moving"! the whole place went dead silent. then the manager came out and asked the guy to leave. true story.

But the texture's the worst part! (no offense) The texture he has given looks a lot better and less obtrusive. Yours looks like red pastel smeared on gravel. (Again, no offense) That aside, this is looking really good. If the animation is good, I might have to buy this pack.

Which bring me to my next thought. Make sure you animate the anticipation of the swing and then really put some force into it. Too many melee weapons look unconvincing because they just move forward.

Wait...Isn't it meant to look like blood...?

I think it would look good, could you just add the texture to the crowbar and give us a screen of what it's like with that texture?

That looks like a CC. Cardboard Cutout. It needs alot of work. Look at more references before you make weapons, when I made my UMP45 I looked at the side view then looked at someone holding the gun to make the correct sizes and looks.
