I would like to host a medieval contest. The first Contest #1 would be structures. I would be willing to supply a prize for first place. Would anyone be interested? Is this the best place to propose this?

I would like all object to be in 3ds format. Any objections?

Oh man, a contest I might be good at, yet not since it has one of my worst subjects, 3D modeling...oh well, time to practice!

At first glance, I'm a mediocre mech pilot. Look again and you will see my battlemech's computer code rushing through my eyes. My Mech And I Are One!

My Entry: It's a poor excuse for a hut burnt to a crisp but a fire breathing dragon!

Is a rock a structure?

Give us some more details Guyon, maybe build a small website.

Obviously until some guidelines are put down, no one is going to take this contest seriously.

I did take it seriously, I made a structure (though burned by a dragon) at the best of my modeling capability. Now that I have JT Edit working again, I should be able to make better structures.

I was just feeling things out to see if there was interest or this was the best place to run it.
Here is my idea:

Make a Medieval structure, Hut, Tower, keep, shop, etc. Structures are defined as things you can live in, or enter. So rocks do not count.

Entries would need to supply a final render, 3ds model and all textures used in creating it. This is so others will be able to use them for games and such.

I was thinking a good prize would be a texture cd that I have been collecting stuff for, for few years.

No offical contest is declaired yet. Any questions?

Rocks are structures. Patrick lives under one (Spongebob).

Fine, If you still disagree, there's a hole on the otherside to go into.
