Now there's a legitimate reason for this....my FPSC had a horrible crash (possibly due to a load of custom media or w/e) and I just quit. A month later, reinstalled it, sitting i the waiting room like everyone else for v2 to come from a long, long surgical operation.

Oh, and does the name Failure to Cooperate seem familiar to any of you? If so, then I'm remaking it. Yeah, it was my first (second, actually) dropped game, after Automatic: Biological Warfare. If I'm wrong on this, please correct me.

And very off topic but my friend was around and i was watching the video for Dark Voices and the start sounds like something out of a porn film

The line "hey there my name is anna an i want to show you something hot"

It made me laugh so much i wonder if thats a new advertising idea they came up with or if it was an accident.

LMAO that was... awesome.

Sorry Jason, I wasn't trying to dredge up anything. I just really miss your bug report responses because they were always very helpful but would always make me LOL because the reply would start like, "OK, right. So you've completely screwed up FPSC..."

Seriously, in all due respect, why can't you guys just forget it and move on? Many a time there have people like me, attempting to make games then dropping them, right? I don't know why people keep telling me to release a demo of a game. I did a long time ago, it was called Zero or something like that, and I remember the comments:
"The lighting was good and the enemy placement was as well, nice job."
"Good game, AI, now finish it."

.....and that's all I remember. If anyone remembers that I did make a demo, please tell Jenkins and the others, thank you.

@AI:

It's not so much that you drop a lot of games, it's just that you put everything in Showcase that you're not serious about.

Everybody has their "Dropped Projects" folders and I'm willing to bet that 99% of them are bigger than the "Projects" folder.

The difference here is that everyone else doesn't make a showcase about a project that they aren't fully commited to at least get a demo out for. It's okay to drop projects because of lost interest or w/e, it doesn't even matter the reason. Just don't go making showcase thread after showcase thread for every project that you start.

In your case, I would suggest getting to a "demo" point before making a thread. Your level design skills are very good, no doubt about it, but you lack focus... we have already been "awed" by your designing skills and screen shots and.... well, after a while, it gets old because no body ever gets to actually SEE them, you know?

If you could get 2 games up to the demo, in a row, without fail, then I'm willing to bet that you'll not only get used to the idea of releasing demos, but people will probably no longer care about how many dropped projects you've had. Heck, you may even laugh about it with them knowing that you don't do it anymore and have evidence to back it up.

Think about it.

Do you think the "Worst Attitude" and "Most Pointless Threads" categories could be removed?

I mean, it's all in the eye of the beholder and I'd hate to see feelings get hurt unintentionally.

I strongly disagree. Although he is epic fail at posting games, and then finishing them(with all due respect of course, and you are pretty good at CS and DoD), he doesn't flame or anything like that...

Actually, I've been undergoing extensive psychiatric work that- aside from sending me on a journey of spiritual fulfillment and self-realisation- has taught me not to get so explosive when the word "portal" is used in conjuncture with "S.M.I.L.E. industries". See, I take the "negative energy" that those keywords arouse and I focus it on some derivative task, dispelling the negative energy in a safe and constructive manner. I almost receded into my bubbling pool of rage at one point, but with the help and support of my friends, family and fellow forumers, I overcame. Now, I lead a blissful life free of the troubles that "that word" caused me. I don't need medication anymore, which is good. But the doctors say I need to stay on top of my condition if I am to stay strong.

Alright lets get some things straight here.

I had never seen that post by Heltor, but I have never seen him do that on these boards.

Secondly, the AI post was a joke...

Thirdly, just because I haven't been a member for more than a year doesn't make me a noobie. I've been lurking around here long enough to know quite a few things.

Fourthly, if my vote doesn't count, great. I was just giving my opinions.

Thanks...
