I made this model today, while composing music for Kanzure, and I think its pretty good. I call it Space Jet.

You can download it here:

And you can see a pic here:

19028 Polygons. I can release the low poly version, which is only about 3000 polygons.

19028 polygons!

3000 polygons!

Don't you think it's a bit much for that design?
I bet you could do it in about 1000 polygons, especially if you wanted to use it for a game.

1000 Polygons!

You could do that in 500!
Maybe even less!

In all honesty, that model could be done with about 300 polygons and look BETTER than that

do you always have to flame me? I know I was a stubborn jack ass when I first got here, but I know my limitations now. I'll try and make this model with less that 1000 polygons. But it is Wings 3D we're talking about, and I'm relatively a n00b at modeling compared to most of you, so dont expect it with any flairs.

You started this thing, so never get mad when you get flamed. Just keep practicing at modeling. Not many people like to see 10000+ polygon models, that are undtextered. Wait a little while before you post your models to. Always get them as low as you can, without lowering the quality you want by too much. I hate how wings3d is so underaated on these forums, and everywhere. I bet if you had to buy it for $100.00 it would get more respect. Wings3d is a very powerful program for modeling, so just keep practing with it, and learn how to use all the tools.

the low poly version is now availiable at the same link provided above. I managed to get the low poly version down to 1816 polygons, but I couldnt get it lower than that.

Yellow, not sure if you've noticed, but I've been flamed ever since I signed up an account at these forums!

@NWC Omega

NWC Omega, quit complaining about always being flamed. People just didn't decide to flame you when you first said "hi".There's always a chance to bounce back anyways. Takes some time, patience, and build a high tolerance level for idiots and newbies. You have never been flamed ONCE, on this thread. You havn't listened to what the people are saying. Keep the polygon amounts to about 500. You've also supplied yourself with a lack of information, like you have never(that I recall), say that this model is being used for a game. It makes a difference whether your practicing or using it for a game. Go reread all of the posts, and maybe you'll understand. I'm just trying to help you out, so don't take this post as a flame.

To Everybody-sorry, I misread an above post aimed at yellow from HZence. Thats why I posted about the flaming stuff. I'm over dramatic .

You say I'm all talk? Patience my friend, patience. I won't need to do anymore talking once I release screenshots of my newest game. Then we'll see who's talking.

I can estimate that your game is better than SpaceCop: Darkside of the Cresent Moon. Has anyone really bothered to check my site for more pics, since no one seems to bother going to the other forum anymore? Did anyone actually try the demo?

All of your games are pretty nice though. I like your site, other than the pop-ups. I havn't tried the demo yet, but will consider trying it out later in the week.

Im gonna dust off my modelling app and make something just to shove HZence's foolish words down his throat..

Also, look at the cylinder, whats that? 32 faces!? You dont need that many faces. Also, that cylinder-like thing in between them has a horrible amount of polygons, and its flat. It would look the same in-game at 12, or 500 polies. Im not ridiculing you, Im giving tips, on how to make lighter and essensially, the same looking models in-game at a fraction of a cost

high poly models have one good ... you can render them to get bump maps that you can put on very low poly models that look then nearly as good as the high poly models ... so keep in mind that the highpoly model might be usefull as well.
