Seeing as I haven't done that much modeling in a while I thought I'd start doing something a few days ago, so I made a gun from a reference image I found, apparently the gun is a AK 74U UBN with the BS-1 "Tishina" 30mm suppressed grenade launcher. (Thank you Strelok!)
The model is 820 faces so it's really not that high poly, and for the record I did actually record the process of making in and turn it into a timelapse, then uploaded it to youtube, but I didn't do this because I think I'm "the best" or whatever, I just did it for fun, I like seeing how I do things from a outside perspective.
So yah.
I'll probably record myself UV Mapping and texturing the gun as well so...

And if anyone cares here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjHOoh2DfcY&feature=channel_page please view in High quality, as it makes a giant difference.

Thank you, and yes, I'll probably map it tomorrow or something. So the mapping video should be up in the following days.

Any chance that will be enhanced for Ply's Mod and Airmod? As in Ironsighs, Dual Wielding Animations, and Alternate Fire? That would be totally awesome! It still looks awesome! Can't wait to see what happens next!

If A=B and B=C, are people still stupid?

I would love to, if I knew how. I don't use FPSC, I know what you're talking about I just don't know how to do it heh.
Although I will release this model for free when it's textured so anyone who has experience in FPSC can prep it and all that!

It was nice to see a differnet method of working, By watching the vid again you tend to finish each area before moving to the next ie detailing. I tend to go back over my model and then add the details as required if the poly count allows.

Thats not to say your method is better or worse than mine.Just interesting to see thats all.

I give ip with thos baner fing as it never seems to work for me. I woll now stop wasting mu time.

Yeah I tend to do that when modeling guns, although with modeling characters I pretty much do the exact opposite.

Thanks!

As a little update, I've begun UV Mapping the gun, almost done with about 60% of all the parts, and yes I'm recording it. So I should be done sometime today and you should expect a video in the following days (Considering how long it takes to speed it up. ).

@Alacurd94 I'd be happy to FPSC prep it for you, but what I mean by enhancing it is making animations for Dual Wielding and Alternate Fire. It's ok if you don't just thought it would be cool, because this is an awesome gun. E-mail me if you want to know what animations to add because I don't feel like writing them out right now.

UV Map is done!

Phew, that was quite a challenge to cram all of that stuff into one map. I mean actually mapping the individual parts out is easy, the layout stage is what's hard. (And boring heh.)
I've been working on this all day, but considering I went on and off on it, seeing as mapping isn't the most fun thing to do , it was about 2 hours of time.
The video has been recorded and I'm going to start speeding it up now.

Thanks tjaabee!
The video has been sped up once now, which is about 4x speed, now I need to export it from my video editing software and then reimport it again just to be able to speed it up more. Considering my editing software is a pain in the butt when trying to make timelapses.

Now I just need to export, convert and then upload it. Expect the video shortly!

Okay, the video is all done and all, and I've been uploading it for like 5 hours () and it's at a whopping 34% already! Woah! Those are some insane speeds!
Although if everything works alright the video should be in HD. So that'll be awesome.

Well it didn't quite come out HD seeing as I probably exported it wrong, but hey, HD on youtube takes forever to load so it's really not that big of a deal.
Here's the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxD7dmj__4Q and as before, please watch in high quality. It makes such a difference.

Some kind of an update, you guys will have to wait for the gun texturing video for a while, since in the past days I've gotten a few payed 3D works that I'd prefer to do first. I will finish this though, so don't worry.
