Not all weapons use the "hands" that you are talking about. Most weapons (namely the guns) don't use them - all you will ever see is the weapon itself.

If you want to see the hands, you have to do one of the following:

1. Use weapons that have the hands attached to them;
2. Get the modeler who did the weapon to attach the hands to the weapon;
3. Get permission from the modeler to alter the weapon and attach the hands yourself.
