Hey i need help with making an object such as a box bobble up and down i tried using moveup= but it didn't work. Script below

...animating a custom box would be a much simpler way of accomplishing what you're after.

This is a simple solution that only involves scripting.

Use the command "floatrate=x" were X is how high you want it to go up.

...it might be possible to randomly try to script what you're after, but you'd be doing an awful lot of trial and error, to get it to react the way you'd want it.

With an animation, you could control every aspect of the timing, and movements. Whether it was a singular event, or a looping behavior, you'd have no trouble getting it to perform in game...

I know it is possible, if you look in the ammoglow or weaponglow fpi files you will see these two commands:

floatrate= "used to have the item move between the ground and X height"
spinrate= "used to have the item spin at X rate"

...I didn't fully understand the effect that hockeykid was after.

Gamer X's approach is definitely the way to go, for acheiving an object that rhythmically bobs up and down in the water...
