Sorry, your question wasn't well-stated. Are you trying to create falling snow? Or already fallen snow, as the picture you attached suggests? If you seek the former, then I suppose this is a model world you've made for a game (and if that's the case, you won't be able to use that model in your game).

Falling snow is done by particles (which is very slow in DBC) or by animated or scrolling snowfall textures places randomly around your level. In either case, it's going to be slow!

try using a particle effect to creat snow? you'd have to specify all the good old coords and where the snow goes how much snow ect... that could be a little bit of work heh

Nah not too hard Theres a tutorial that comes with DBP on particles, and snow is in there.

LOL whoops I had just worke up My bad! Kent released a 'rain' DBC code snippet, just replace the rain image with snow.

Haha thats what i was thinking i saw that so i thought i'd come say the same thing....go to the code snipplet forums and find it think its called rain affect or somthing like that as the subject i tryed it out myself wit hthe rain but for some reason i got an error on DBC =\ but thats ok heh i'll figger it out me still new to this

texture it with falling snow
move texture every sync cycle

I've been interested in this subject....

Anyone know how to make rainfall on a matrix 1000x1000 please? I'm not god with particles.

heh rainfall is sort of hard i hear read somewhere on these forums the rainfall code posted wouldent work because you need to have the rain all around the played even behind him where he cannot see it =\ so it looks like someone is in for a doosey
