Hmm, so the most stand out piece of your game needs to be the environment. I mean gameplay is important, but you can't show anyone that in screenshots, so... if you want people to say better stuff on here, then you need to start WOWing them.
The village level is coming on, but it doesn't look like a village.
Get away from using FPSC segments for making anything other than interiors. If you use them to make little houses, or gunshops they just look too boxy, and obviously segmented.
FPSC suits an indoor environment, I had trouble with all the outdoor levels I made. Stick to indoor, or very tight external spots. FPSC doesn't have the polycount or the framerate to you to amaze the viewer with a panoramic view. If you can get convincing hills, or a city scape, without it just being a skybox I'll fall off my chair.
So you cant really do outdoors, so, the only real option you have is
atmosphere, you need to build tension into your game. have some nicely architectured areas that keep people interested. Try not to let them be too aware that all they're really doing is walking through square corridoors!
Drop the custom guns. Basically Errant and Bond and Benge are really good at what they do. Their modelling is gorgeous and will add to your game. Making your own weapons is a tireless task and it will take you years to reach their level.
Maybe look at the story a little. Americans versus Russians is so old hat. In FOTF you played a Russian in Korea, because I was fed up of games where you fought against the russians. Why not play as someone other than America. America is so boring, when the character could be from a different culture...
Anyway I've ranted on when I should be getting some beauty sleep. I probably made no sense at all.
Hope that Helps.
Butters.
Night night.
I want robotic legs.
