I've made an animation in Anim8or, and wanted to export it as a .3ds, but then I found out that the animation would be lost. I've downloaded the program mentioned on this post:
http://www.darkbasicpro.com/apollo/view.php?t=12017&b=3
And have tried to use it to export my animation, however I do not understand how it works Has anybody managed to make it work? If so, how??

Thanks
Robin

I didn't try it but it seems that the help suggests to have anim8or opened on the right file you want to export from, indicate the right number of both start and ending frames, then click the button(the one with the avatar on it)...You should then have to specify the folder and name you want it saved to....Anim8or must be running for the whole thing to work...Don't be surprise if

1:mesh deform doesn't work(the .3ds format only accepts hierarchies)

2:if you get about 100 .3ds files(that is you animation in 'frame file')

If I've seen it all before, why's this bus taking me back again? @_@

I've tried doing exactly that, having anim8or open, and loading my sequence, but then when I go to the 'export' button, all that happens is the textareas where i put in the start and end fram just fill up with the address where i chose to save the model about 40 times, and nothing is created...
Maybe I'll try and contact the author

Weird I didn't see an export button on the tool...Which is what you must use to export/process and not anim8or...I believe anim8or just needs to be running in background on the right scene file to get it to wirk...But like I said,I didn't try it.

Don't forget,deformation won't export.

If I've seen it all before, why's this bus taking me back again? @_@
