This is my first attempt at making anything on anything so dont laugh/insult it actualy To be honest if I was looking at it at a different persective i.e. one of you lot I would proberly laugh so go ahead if you fell you need to

Here it is:



My question is what do I do now? So far all I have done it created an outline shape, faced it, duplicated it, extruded it, fliped one face over and stuck it on. What do I do? Im lost. Are there any tutorials for the following things that I have to do?

Works here.

You need to change your technique and model surface by surface.

Don't confuse with vertex by vertex.

what I mean is take a look at your reference picture and study the shapes,it's depth and it's connections togther.

Then make a box and add segemtns where the shapes take place and push the vertice a bit to conform them to the real ones.

May sound confusing but you'll undertsand sooner or later as you fiddle in 3d modeling.
