Cool!

I don't know if it already exists but let's say that you have both an FPSC X9 and X10 version of your game. Could Game Starter have an option to include both games and let the user select which one to start on load?

I am asking since I just released a game on both X9 and X10 system.

Well, for the moment this is not supported, sorry.

But I can imagine it being a good idea since you might be able to also include a multiplayer and a singleplayer game, or, as in your case, having the option to select either x9 or x10.

Consider it being on my 'features to add' list. I will have to see when I've got time to do some experimenting on this and maybe start implementing that feature (but I won't promise anything right now).

Ok

I have one more question: does Game Starter support inverting the mouse y-axis in FPSC X9 and X10 games? I have several players requesting this feature in response to the recent release of my game Deadly Towers.

Can it launch/start multiple games on the same instance. I would like to keep some levels separate and let the player choose to start an exe other than the first level. Can it do that or does the entire game need to be in one exe?

Best.

What has been used to develop the application and is source code provided with purchase?

- Inverting the y-axis is not yet possible either, but as I can see the need here, I will also have a look at this.

- All updates are free. Forever and for any version.

- For the moment you need to create one single exe for the GameStarter to work correctly. But what you (xplosys) speak of seems very similar to Scurvy Lobster's request. So when I have enough tested I might be able to tell you two if this might be implemented soon or not.

- The source code for the GameStarter is not provided. The main reason for this is to protect users who create trial versions of their games using the app.
But 7zip and UPX are used (f.e. for the game compression), and these are both released under GNU licenses and are therefor free to use; and the source code of these is freely available.

Thanks for your questions, it gives me an idea of what is needed and enhances future development.

Mh... well there is for me, and there have already been some downloads.
Maybe try to restart FPSC.
Else we might have to contact TGC...

Seems to be some refreshing-bug of the GCStore. Ah, and see if it is on the home page, in the 'new' section, as it is one of the newest submissions to the store.

rafleo, I like where this is going. I wanted to clarify a few things though before I purchase your program.

1.
Quote: "You may also create launchers for your CD-/DVD-ROMs and games by other users."

I was told FPS Games will not play on a persons computer if they don't actually have FPSC. Does this mean my finished FPSC game can be burned to a cd, or available for download online, and run on someone's computer that doesn't have FPS Creator installed?

2.
Quote: "package and protect your games"

Does this mean my game files are protected, and NO ONE can hack my game and steal my models/textures/etc?

3. Just want to be sure--does this work with FPS Creator X9?

Thanks,

That's ridiculous, you just have to copy your games to the C drive and they play on any computer that has the specs needed to run the game.

The packaging reduces the file size *until* your game is being started the first time. This reduces clutter and speeds up the installation.
The protection is a basic game protection, meaning that it protects from directly hacking your game or get access to the files. But I am sure hackers would find a way to still get what they want.

Yep, sure. It works fine with both, X9 and X10.

Version 3.3 out now!
(Should also be on the GCStore by now)

Major change for Version 3.3 is the SmartStart Maker which combines multiple games.
So it is now possible to have for example a X9 single player, X9 multi player, X10 and X10 additional levels pack with the option to start the one wanted at launch. (You can combine an unlimited number of games, or, until your hard drive tells you it's enough)

Wow, this just made FPSC way more user friendly! Just out of curiosity, can the player adjust the resolution of the game, or do you have to use Bond1's trick to adjust it?

If anyone who purchased the program needs / wants the update and can't seem able to get it (GCStore makes it kind of difficult), just contact me via email. I will then send you information on how to obtain it.

Wraith Staff, I just send you an email about it.

For all those not being able to access the program on the Store:
I contacted TGC about it, but it'll take some time 'til they look into it (weekend...)

So if you are in a hurry try Avangate (see link in first post)

It works all fine with the newest version of the store.

So if you can't see, please update our store version! (Look for the BETA that's downloadable in the forums...)

If you would put the maps into different games, then yes.

If you follow the link on the TrialPay first post, you'll see the details.

TrialPay works like this:
- you complete one offer available for your country (some may cost something, some are free - f.e. registering at eBay)
- after completing the offer, you get your copy of the GameStarter

BTW, many products of TGC are available through TrialPay as well.

I've been trying to purchase but still not appearing in the store (see attached). Have TGC confirmed when this will be fixed?
