Few weeks ago i started creating this game.It is an action fantasy rpg game.I wanted to create game that will have a lot of rpg elements. So there will be buying, talking and some other rpg stuff in game. The game will have two mods one is story and other is explore.Everyone knows what story mod is so i will describe explore mod.In explore mod you will have whole city to explore. And the city will be full of people that will give you quests. How will quest thing work?Well that charcter you talk to will tell you his problem and will give you a code. After you get code you exit game find quest folder and open it.After that you have to find the file of the quest that you want to play. After you find quest you enter code that character gave you and you can start quest.I know this may be boring and stupid to somenone but i think it will work. Also there will be expansions for game.

Game will be free.
I don t won t to reveal the story but title says it all.

Here is one old screen shot of game.(il put more)

Ps sorry for my very bad english.

you 'i wont play if theres no lighting' people are kinda odd. lighting is nice, but if it kills fps, then noone wont be playing. I will certainly play it and i think it looks VERY nice!

If I remember correct, static lightmapping shouldn't affect the framerate at all.

Nice looking game I must admit. Lightmapping would really make it look ace. Keep it up!

Static lightmaps do not affect the frame rate at all. Dynamic lights will, but static lights are calculated and applied during build game, so they are pre-processed and not taking up CPU time during the game. The only effect they will have is the build time will be larger, and the game will look much better.

Then obviously you don't realise how much lighting can effect a games mood and atmosphere.

You should definetally add lighting. I am personally put off by a game presented in all the shades of grey.

I know this sounds rude, but to put it bluntly that is extremely foolish. There is no disadvantage to lightmapping, just advantages. At the moment the screens look pretty mediocre, but smart use of lighting will fix it very well.

So how's the game going?
I have to admire the work you've put into it, the screen shots just blow me away.
I think some lighting for the indoor areas would really enhance the game, without putting too much pressure on the graphics.
If you want something that will help you speed the game up, then you could try this?

Best,
Shiv
