Yeah, you're gonna need to download the d3drm.dll in order for DarkBASIC to be able to compile on a Vista machine.

So yes, DarkBASIC does work on Vista if you have the d3drm.dll, which can be found HERE

That should do it. Good luck!

Sorry, forgot to say that all you need to do with the .dll is drop it in the folder that contains the .exe of your game/program/whatever.

Or you can drop it in your C:\Windows\system folder and it will work with all projects of yours.

Actually, I think you'll find it's the C:/Windows/system32 folder that you need to put the dll in. No idea what the difference is, but I assume its something major with Windows...

Hmmm seems to work for both. I remember having trouble with system32 but I just moved it and it works. Go figure

Hmm....yeah, that's probably a better idea than just dropping it in one's project folder. Lol.

When I try to put the dll into the C:/Windows/system32 folder it says I don't have permission to save it to the folder and that I should call my administrater. Only problem with that is that I am the administrater for my laptop.

(EDIT) Never mind, i was able to just cut and paste into the system folder. I'm not sure why i didnt think of it before.
