Hi, I have a question regarding my son. He needs help exporting his animations for DB(not pro) in Milkshape. He would like a step by step explanation if possible.

i take it he's already made the animations?
if this is the case then he needs to make sure that the model is grouped into sections which are only affected by a single bone.

he can have more than 1 group per bone if it helps the animation to be shown better - but for ease it is best to stick to a single group per bone.

then he needs to export using JT DirectX 8.1 Exporter using these settings ->



then it should appear in DB when you use the play animation function you'll then have 30*30 frames (time count*framecount)... default interpol will be 10frames per second - if you turn it off it resets to 30, but you'll never need it above 15 really.

My son is trying it i will get back to you on if it worked later. Although I have no dought in my mind that it won't work.

I have done it and it works... The most important step is grouping you're vertex's to the joints. Once you get that it's smooth sailing...
