Ok, pos when you find the solution...

So i understand how to use the shader effect but im not getting any results. Most likely since im not using the n map variants. Any idea on how to use these things?

EDIT: Sry what i meant to say was what do you do with the gun_N_subtle/medium/strong.dds things?

rename the one you want to gun_N and place it in the same folder as the weapon.

Ply released the new version of his mod, which now allows this effect on MP6 weapons!

Check it out, it's awesome!

That's ok then, tbh the only solution is to modify the HUD.X files anyway, which is nigh on impossible unless I open and re-export.

This shader is really great CoZ!
One problem though, after I apply the new effect to the the gun in the edit game, the texture is completely white. In the test game, before I pick it up, the texture is totally white, but once I pick it up, all textures are applied again. Do you know whats goin on man?

@Shaka: It's because you#ve applied the shader to thw weapon pickup entity itself. Apply the shader to the gunspec of the weapon instead.

Okay, ill try that out. I opened the gunspec and put it under the effect it should run and I put the gun_N in the file as well. Then When I open the properties of the gun in the edit game mode and set the effect in its effect sections but its still all white before I equip the gun.
