You can't do it anyway, even if it was low poly. Bryce can't export any model other than terrain. Pretty useless really.

Cheers,

Rich

As Rich said above its all gone a bit wrong with bryce when trying to export. Though there are plenty of options out there. If you want to make some buildings and get them into DB / DBpro most people in these parts swear by Milkshape. Dont know the price off hand but its around 25$. Iam not the best one to ask . I use lightwave so I can animate and well other things that are not DBpro related.

So if you got Milkshape you could make a level and run about in it. Your kind of stuck with Bryce though from what i can tell on deja.com

walking on the model is a bit harder, there was some code in the code snippets somewhere, but that was for DBPro.

Bryce is too hi-poly. Thought it could export 3DS models . . . maybe I'm a high.

Try the freebie converters like crossroads and such.

Bryce just wasn't meant for games.

I admire your honesty. Hell, I like you; you can come over to my house and ---- my sister!

Hello,

I think the above statements aren't fully correct. I'm using Bryce 4, and I tried exporting the Terrains in 3DS format and then converting it in DirectX format. It's all explained in detail in the manual (page 201-203) or in the book called Real World Bryce4 (page 397-403).

Brief summary:

1. you create terrain
2. choose File->Export Object and pick-up 3DS format
3. in the Terrain Export Lab choose the Polygon Count an other options
4. use 3DExploration (ot any other tool for converting file formats) to convert to X. file
5. use the metod described here for walking on the X. files:

I hope I was of some kind of help.

Kind Regards,

Tomaz
