Hi there,

I was wondering, does fps allow you to add "friends" into the game? Like fellow soldiers that fight with you instead of against you. If this is possible, can you program these "friends" to do specific things like run to a certain place, shoot a certain object or enemy? (to create a Call Of Duty like interaction between you and your fellows when playing te game)Can vehicles be programmed to start driving once you are on board? Can props be added for later use by the player (like a fixed machine gun )?

Also I was wondering, does FPS enable me to create menus, splash screens, and the option of adding introduction movies to spice up the game?

Thanks a lot,

Yes, search the forum for an "ally script" to get "friends". They'll shoot with you, and not against you.

Yes, you can create your own menus, splash screens...and, yes, you can easily add cut scenes to your games.

You can have interactive objects in the game. you just have to give them a script (and possibly an animation) to get them to do want you want to do. However, I don't think it's currently possible to mount a turret and shoot from it in FPS Creator (at least it hasn't been done yet due to the complexity of pulling it off).

Thanks for the reply!

The mounting turret sounds like a challenge... (never mind trying to make a player shoot stuf from a moving vehicle or helicopter or so. Maybe I'll stick to the easier things first

Making a Mounted Turret in a nutshell:

Place a platform under the turret model. When the player uses the turret, have the platofmr make the player associate with it (forcing them to stay centered on the platform on the platform)
This platform can then also be moving around... like a floating platform or whatever you wanted.

To make the player have the turret and shoot it... you could simply make the "turret" entity a character with the turret gun as it's weapon. Then when the player has control over them make it rotate whent he player presses "A/D" or whatever you want. When they press "F" or something, have the turret "useweapon".

ok i have been looking for this forever-- finally bgot it -- but quick question-- the ally scripts -- yeah they run with you -- but NO they dont shoot with you

they just stand there-kinda dissappointing- how do i fix this-- to make them shoot at enemies?

do i set the enemies under the same config except under enemy script in the ally folder or do i leave them with stock scripts from the people folder-
