thanks to the forum (search is your best friend ^^)I got rid of the crosshairs, but for the available ironsight it seems that Airmod is needed.

Is that right? And since its about to merge with/into another mod is it available at all - or advisable to use an *old* version?

There are many Mods that have AirMod integrated into them, so simply by using one of those Mods, you'll have access to AirMod features (including ironsights)
