FPSC Online Store

We are very pleased to announce that after more than 3 months of hard development we are now activating the FPSC-Online store to all FPS Creator users to buy and sell their media. It has been over 3 months in the works from the planning stage right up to this point where we have everything we want working how we want.
So now buyers what do you get? Well you get full access to the store for free no signup fees EVER you can look around for nearly any type of game media including Entities, segments, textures, music, skyboxes and more. Then you can add it to a cart as you go and then sign out paying in one payment via PayPal checkout system. Your media is then immediately ready for use in your games with a quick download of the zip files. The most important thing is, you will never lose your purchases as they are kept on your order history for ever.
Now for sellers you may sell any type of media that buyers can buy as long as it is either FPSC X9 or FPSC X10 ready doesn’t have to be both. You can then upload your own items via our affiliate control panel and then once approved you will be able to watch them as they are sold knowing exactly how much commission we owe you so you can send us an invoice at any time to retrieve it. You get to keep 90% of the commission earned before the first $100 USD and then after the first $100 USD we take an additional 15% meaning you then keep 75% of all your profits made.

Questions and Answers:
Q: If i publish my models in this store can i also sell them elsewhere?
A: Yes of course you can, all media is sold on a non-exclusive basis

Q: How does this impact the TGC store?
A: We are a totally separate system to the TGC store and do a few things differently we are not here to Beat TGC, put it down or however else you want to put it, only to give you a cheap and easy media service.

Q: How are prices chosen?
A: As the artist you choose the price of your model and although we will provide you with a guide you do not have to use it.

Q: What’s the seller profit split?
A: Up to first $100USD 90% to you 10% to us after the first $100USD 75% to you 25% to us

Q: When do i get paid?
A: We give out all commission at the end of each month however if you wish you may let the amount rollover to another month.

Q:What do we do with our share of the profit?
A:As we are a community service very little of the profit made on our end goes to us, it is mostly used for server up keep and site improvements.

Q: Can i track my sales as they go?
A: Yes they are managed real-time in the store.

Q: Do i have to be an amazing artist to get in?
A: No you don’t have to be a great artist to get in but we do require you send one of the store admin an example of your works. Then we will add you as a seller.

Q: How do i become a seller?
A: All you need to do i send me an email with 2 -3 samples of your work on it and i will get you started as a seller. Email address to use store@fpsc-online.com

You are welcome to ask questions here. But i accordance with Lee’s agreement for letting us tell you about this you MUST keep the conversation light hearted and not put down the TGC store, although you are welcome to discuss the advantages or disadvantages of both services.

Any more questions please shoot away i will answer them ASAP.

EDIT: The segments on the forums will most likely get in some time. We have another 2 people interested in being an artist on the forum and 4 already registered not including myself.

Registering as affiliate is becoming a seller but you will not get approved unless you have emailed us and also we have Oleg/Strelok just joined as a seller.

We have also just approved a few more items for sale.

EDIT: Noticed you just registered as a seller Jingle Fett please send me an email before i can approve you.

@gizmoguy: Those were probably mine. They won't be up for a while, unless I can package the default meshes with them. It's because I got the textures from CGTextures.com. The guy running it won't allow me to sell them unless they include a mesh with the textures. So I'm going to try to either make a mesh, or see if I can use the default mesh.

How many sales do you average per day? So we can get an idea of what we'll make...

Also, is 90/10 90 to you, and 10 to the seller? Because if I were to sell a segment at $0.50, which seems to be the going rate, I'd get $0.05, which is 2.5 pence over here, and that's before Paypal use a transaction charge...

If it's 90/10 to the seller though, that's a very good rate...

No its you get the 90% we get the 10%. I'm glad you think its good lol

As for sales per day still to be seen how well it goes we are only just starting out.

Excellent, I'm up and I've uploaded two products .

I was thinking, perhaps we should make a new thread here where people can post screenshots of their products, if it's ok with the mods of course. That way everyone can see what great products the store has without each person having to start a new thread to advertise.

how does this impact (or how is this impacted by) the game creators store that is already a part of FPSC?

You will simply have a different selection of media, and a different shopping experience.

The fpsc-online store is not at all integrated with fpsc. So you can't go straight from map making to grabbing new content with our store like you can with TGC's. We don't have a full-time staff watching the store. (Although Jason and I will work hard to respond quickly)

There are plenty of artists and developers to go around.
We just want the community to grow and prosper. And we
appreciate the 'okay' that Rick and Lee have given us.

You should do a monthly newsletter to all members of the top selling products, and new releases... That'd be fantastic!

Just noticed the mailing list box. Signed up

A while later...
This looks like a great idea! and the commission rates are awesome. Maybe in the future I'll become a seller?
I really like that you don't need to have an updated version of FPSC, and that you don't need to download and install anything.

Magic!

for i buy things like crazy but i know how to make everything in x9 into x10 ready. so if something come into the store that i ready like and cant buy it in tgc than you got a buyer. hint some really cool creepy segment doors would be nice.that the one thing fpsc and tgc store lacks. like some hospital doors and glass door and some Asylum type of doors. ill be buying away. ill be buying so much you might have to make me a gold member.lol. will the store take world pay?

Right now we just have PayPal. I'm looking into other gateways like Worldpay. We'll update this thread as well as send email to those who signup.

I also wanted to mention that I added the ability to comment and rate items.
