Hi all,
Can anyone help me to do a script that I can attach to an entity that when I throw the entity and then using the ERRANT AI led pack when the player turns on the LED light (clicks mouse button) the player transports to where the thrown entity lies.

The script must also make sure that the thrown entity when it lands is not too close to a wall or other object to stop the player from tansporting through walls and out of the map or get stuck through objects and otehr entities etc.

I am willing to pay for a working completed script that does the above and will work in X9 and X10 with no mods.

Only mod can do that. Plysmod can do that. And blue perfirmance mod um edition. (plysmod included)

You cant trow a entity through a wall, can you? So you wont be teleported into a wall.

I do not mean throw entity through a wall, the problem I have at present is - if the entity thrown is too close to a wall when you transport the player falls out of the map.

Also the player can get stuck if transport near map scenery (other entities/segments)

So the script needs to somehow move the entity away from walls or other entities when it lands (re-position)
Or when the player transports re-position the player if not 100% clear of obstructions.


I think this cannot be done with FPSC but I am open to suggestions.

I do not have a script as such, I am using the current transporter scripts transport in and out. If you attach the transport out to an entity that you can throw (say a ball object - alien globe) and then walk into a transporter you will transport to where the object is.

But testing this many times - I have found the player falls out of the map or gets stuck.

I have not managed to link it to a held weapon or item that when you clcik the mouse it transports the player.

I have not managed to solve the falling out of map or getting stuck issue.

You can test this for yourself with the current items and scripts.

well i will test this when i got time, i am very atm so it will be tomorrow, i kinda like this idea just for fun,

Using Ply's Mod you can reposition the player freely, making your task a little easier.

The new version of Ply's Mod will also feature weapon scripting so you can script your weapon to be used only for transporting.
