There's a detailed thread on this further down the board.
Have a look through, it's not that old.

There is an eight letter word. You can insert a letter into it or remove a letter from it without changing its meaning. Answer

it's just a inside out box, a huge inside out box. so make a cube lets say with the size -10000 by making it negative, it is essentially inside out, so when you texture it, the texture goes on the inside not the outside. when you are inside it you see the texture when you are outside it you don't. just the opposite of normal lol.

and posts with names like "Need Help" arn't good, you could have said "Need Help With SkyBoxes" or "How do i make a skybox" but just "Need Help" doesn't help lol

and position your box around the camera so you never hit the edge of the sky.

Skyspheres work on the same principle, but because they are spherical, the edges wont stick out so they look better.

That said, a good skybox wont have noticeable edges anyway....

Try a geosphere, you can make it in any 3d modeling program, get your hands on AC3D, amazing to texture models! Then it's as simple as load object "geosphere.x" and as long as you have the texture there with it, bang awesome looking!

The main difference is you don't get most of those annoying lines..
The closest image i could find on the spot lol

Picture that image except with a sky texture over it
