Heya!

This is a project I started working on as a quick project in competition with a friend, but unfortunately my buddy stopped making his version so the competition is kind of over. I have other projects that I am more interested in finishing, so I'm putting this out as-is.

feel free to do what you like with it, it is in no way complete, it's just the beginnings of something.

If you would like the source just let me know

There is a thread in WIP that you can check out for screenies.

People need the redistributable dlls as well.

Program crashed for me as soon as the HUD appeared on a black screen. Apparently the error was caused by Windows.

Hmm.

Did you get an error code?

Was it just an "illegal operation" error?

Do you run vista or XP?

A little more detail might help me sort it!

I got a "Fatal Velocity has stopped working" error. No error number, or standard DBP error messages. I checked for any error report file in the folder just in case, but nothing there. It looked like this if that helps.
It's a Vista 32-bit 3071mb RAM. Latest version of DirectX.

Hmm.

I'm not sure to be honest. I don't use Vista, so I've never seen that before! Thank you for uploading a video to youtube. That's very helpful!

The moment it crashes is the moment it enters the main loop... so unfortunately it could be anything! Possibly it's the sounds.. I guess you're running it as an admin?

Well I'm an admin account anyway but I clicked Run as Admin just to see if ought'd change. But nope, still the same.

It worked for me maybe because im using XP

I quite enjoyed the game. I understand that it's not fully complete, so I can forgive for having no music.

Sharp turns was a smart design choice makes turning when getting those boosts a little easier.

You need to upload it again, got this rapidshare error:

This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.

This limit is reached.

To download this file, the uploader either needs to transfer this file into his/her Collector's Account, or upload the file again. The file can later be moved to a Collector's Account. The uploader just needs to click the delete link of the file to get further information.

Nothing to see here, move along please.

I highly recommend MediaFire, you don't have to put up with that
