First off I would like to say that im a newb, so if this is a stupid question then Im sorry. moving forward, I am having trouble positioning a camera. For some reason I am unable to position the camera at all, however i am able to move it in game. I also tried making a new camera but it still wouldn't work. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out

thx

I can't quite remember cause it was ages since I last touched DB

here goes though(I may be wrong)

x#=1
y#=0` subs y# with "get ground hieght"
z#=0
load object player, 1
position object 1, x#,y#,z#

position camera x#,y#+50,z#

`well the code may be wrong but the algorithms there

erm,... sorry I don't quite understand what your saying, but can you show a little bit of your coding(the camera bit and your character movement code would be good),

anyway, have you tried the help in DB

press f1 and look for camera commands or look in the examples(in help) and you should see one about positoning cameras with chara's

havnt had a chance to test your code but of the top of my head have you tried "autocam off" near the beggining of the program otherwise whenever you create an object it will position the camera to show that object.
