Apple Slicer Presents "Apple Juice". A new mod for Fpsc 1.15.

This is a WIP
========================================
Features
========================================
Air Mod .6 Integration
Newly designed Timer system
New script commands
Removal of Hard coded controls such as the peek keys. (You can use scripts to change controls)
New loadunload system for Dynamic and Static entities
Source code cleaned, and re-sorted, giving you phenomenal speeds.

Loads more....but secret.
========================================
About
========================================
This mod has actually been in the works since the 1.07 code, and has been very slowly evolving. I am not a super programmer like Ply, S4real, Dark Goblin, Wizkid, or Knxrb. However, I think I have done enough work for this thread to be posted.

Download
========================================
I dont know the rules for Fpsc mods, but I am not planning on posting the demo on these forums yet. If a moderator has a problem with this, please tell me. Thanks.

mmmmmmmmmmm........... apples............ [droolsequence]timer=15 "seconds"[/droolsequence]
Seems awesome . Question: by Ironsights, do you mean that it will turn the weapon in front of the person when the right-mouse button is clicked so that the weapon won't require that animation or code?

Yes. but, you can use the new commands to make Z or another key activate ironsights.

You dont need a script, but you do need a gunspec file.

For future reference (I will be putting this in the AirMod 0.6 thread as well) I do not want mods listing AirMod features as if they were their own. Please instead reference AirMod 0.5/0.6 implementation instead.

Sounds good, but a demo would be notably more convincing that a thread - sorry, but I lived through Riker 9

I wasn't around when it happened but from what I understand Riker 9 was a mod that was never actually made. The creator made a thread and all it turned out to be nothing. Correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't been here through it.

Woah Apple Slicer!! That's incredible!!! can't wait to see more about the mod!

oh, and apple slicer, if you do decide to release this mod for free i would love to promote it by using it in my new game!
obviously this is not an attempt at getting the mod before anyone else, i just think your mod will do better if you advertise it a little, you know, like some people did with airmod and project blue. except, of course, they were a lot better than me at making games and were a lot more popular.
you know what?
i didn't say anything.

Just got home from work. Going to try to work on a new feature. If things go well, I will post.

But please dont ask for whats going on with the mod too often. Its okay for this thread to sink a bit.

Sounds like you've been busy, Apple. The features sound a little, uh.... "lacking", I guess. Mainly in detail.

Perhaps expanding upon what kind of script additions there are and how exactly you removed the hardcoded controls.

Also, I would like to see what your fps is like with a few characters and dynamic entities in the level.
I say this because vanilla FPSC can reach far more than 300 fps on my machine..... without characters. As soon as a character is introduced, it quickly drops like a rock.

The mod is very small, and only supposed to give a little more support for people who enjoy vanilla fpsc.

When I say removing hard coded controls, i mean it. all the controls have to be scripted in, including the movement. The guns, also are not hardcoded. you can now make the fire button "enter key" if you wanted, and reload the "G" key.

The mod is for fun, and I enjoy the experience into DB

I also added a modded system for characters, so lag is less likely to happen with about 4, but after that, the lag comes up a bit, and you can crash down to 30 fps.

Ahhh, I see. Well it sounds good for a small Mod.

Not too sure how well people would accept the required scripting of every control element. I mean... a majority of the community rarely want to script ANYTHING on their own.

Perhaps leave the default controls installed, and over-ride them if they are scripted. That way, people who enjoy the default controls don't have to be bothered with extra work.

Good point. I was thinking that myself. I will end up doing that.

I am just glad to be able to wave goodbye to the Peek and Arrow keys

I normally "remove" the peek controls by binding them to a scancode that doesn't exist when I build a game.

The arrowkeys are a pain indeed, so removing them might be in everyone's best interest. Good on you for that.

I hope there's an option script the arrow keys back in. I'm left handed and use the left hand for the mouse and use the arrow keys to move. For example, my usual setup for (none FPSC) games is:

Arrow keys for movement.
CTRL for duck.
SHIFT for jump.
number pad (1,0) for other things.

Please bear that in mind and allow the user to use the arrow keys.

i you could release this either for free or on TGCS, it would just be the best.
becuase all i am looking for is a mod that contains airmod 0.6 ironsights and that it works in fpsc 1.15 and lets you build game.
that's it.
and so far, your mod checks all thoses boxes.
keep up the good work!

Nice work and looking good so far.

As for getting rid of the arrow keys might be a bad idea as I know a few people who use them when playing games.(Could be a bad idea)
