Ok, I followed the BSP sticky thread instructions to the letter, but in the last part, for setting up the RUN COMMAND params, I keep getting an error and I am pretty sure my CMD and PARAMS could be wrong.

I have the following 6 entries in my RUN COMMAND for DBPro:
PLEASE NOT: I AM USING THE # SYMBOL as a BACKSLASH for this example:

$csg_exe #$path#$file
$bsp_exe #$path#$file
$vis_exe #$path#$file
$light_exe #$path#$file
Copy File #$path#$file.bsp #$bspdir#$file.bsp
Copy File #$path#$file.pts #$bspdir#$file.pts

Should there be 6 entries, and are they correct?
See Log in code button below

Thanks

I THINK (but im not really sure) that there shouldnt be backslashes where ive placed the arrows:

Copy File #$path#$file.bsp >#<$bspdir#$file.bsp
Copy File #$path#$file.pts >#<$bspdir#$file.pts

If you look at the bsp walkthrough that tells you how to set it up, theres no '\' on the copy file lines where indicated.

Look at one of the other game setups on the EXPERT area of the run screen, where you define the DBPro exporter.

Sorry again, the backslash annoys me and i keep forgetting. There should be no "#".

There, finally.

Moonshine

Thanks! I looked at the HalfLife(FULL) settings and it turns out the slashes at the beginning of each line SHOULDN'T be there, and the ones preceeding $file (for all lines) SHOULD be there.

Also once I fixed that the compile got further but I had VIS and RAD options set on to NORMAL but the map couldn't be VISed or RADed so I turned it off for now. What is VIS and RAD and when will I need them?

Anyway the compiler completes without errors and produces the bsp file. Now getting things going in DBP is a whole nother story.
I am new to trying to make worlds (BSP's) as you can see

Thanks
