Oh lol. I cannot believe you couldn't take a simple joke.
Quote: "The AWP requires less skill and is not a hardcore weapon. The Scout is more of a hardcore weapon. I got a no-scoped headshot with the Scout my first time using it. No hacks, nothing."
So you determine that the scout is much better to use because you got a No-scope headshot by luck? Nice analogy mate.
I get that all the time.
I was playing with my team on a scrim with this other team that we're pretty crap, it was the third round - Our team was playing Terrorist as one of the guys on the other team had a problem playing as a T first(He was odd, seriously odd). They atleast one round - it was our team's fault they got that round, one of the backups on our team never played on DD2 in a scrim and decided to rush B. When we went middle to A via cat. Anyways, enough fluff now.
It happened at cat. Some stupid CT decided to jump down and try and spray me down starting from legs going up(To stop me from moving then finishing me off with a head-shot). Whilst he was in midair I simply aimed for his feet with a scout and pulled the trigger - Head-shot, obviously, or else what point would there be to this story? Anyways, they decided to have 3 mid whilst 2 at A, they clearly managed to know what our tactics for the first 3 rounds where.
Now, the fact that was pretty lucky, dare I say worthy of being called hacking, it's still a legit move, now I ain't actually agreeing that the AWP is crappier than the scout, therefore the AWP is a weapon that does pack alot of damage, but the true skill in using the AWP comes from speed, reaction, and also
clutching(Basic plan: Rotate sites, just anything to make sure that the enemy do not expect you to be where they are - AKA stealth).
Also AWP shots often have a problem with registering, believe it or not, some people don't know this, but it's true, and a easy way to overcome this is to "Aim before the player", simple actually, but it's quite hard to remember, even I forget it.
If there is one thing I hate, and get tired of the mostin a scrim, it has to be.
"omg wtf there is no reg in this server my crosshair was rite on his head WTFBBQOMFG THIS BLOWZ."
Also there's some commands that help too:
cl_interp 0
cl_interpolate 0
cl_lagcomp_errorcheck 1
cl_cmdrate 100
cl_updaterate 100
cl_rate 20000
cl_smooth 0
rate 25000
zoom_sensitivity_ratio 0.76
Scout however, often doesn't have this problem. I can just aim my crosshair onto a fella's head and make it follow it all day, infact between the transition of aiming and shooting, I can make myself a cuppa tea in that time and still not worry.
The scout is more accurate and sadly less powerful than it's counter-part; the AWP.
TBH, you've never really used an AWP for atleast 12 hours have you? I can recall you even admitting that you've hardly used it over steam during a few pubs in Xtremist2's Vanilla server.
No one knows just what has become of her, Shattered, dull, desperate, oh so innocent and delicate. But too damn obdurate, And obstinate to let go!
