I just ordered DBPro and while I'm waiting I wanted to a jump on what it can do. When I create a model in Max and then export to .x or .3ds, does it let me keep texture coordinates and properties (such as additive, alpha, specular highlights, transparency, animated UV, etc.) when I bring it into DBPro?
thanks!

exporting a model out of max to a 3ds keeps the UV maps but I don't think you get the others(specular, transparencie's), the texture won't be "baked" onto the model, you have to add in the texture code for DBp, anyway max has some exporting limitations with rigged models, I don't know about this but if you do get max, get a MDL exporter plugin so you can export with rigged models with boning support, with the transparent property's you'll have to do all that with DBp.

If you need a animated chara go here... It isn't that great but it'll do as a tester model thingy http://users.tpg.com.au/users/cnkyk8k2/index.html
