These are real nice, I was just thinking about zombie models the other day, and kablam, here we are. I love the warped trees as well, everyone always makes ordinary trees, but those twisted warped ones are the type one wants in a game.

Cleve, I would love to see a screenshot of these in your game.

Fallen one, I will include the tree in download for terrain update.

I've been meaning to ask, you mention they have specular maps.
Is this a dedicated map 1024 or did you make illuminate a fake spec with shaders.

I'm not entirely sure specular even works in FPSC.

Acid, the spec maps are 1024 and output from the hi res model in zbrush. I also output a cavity map and overlay this to get a nice specular made, I do know that FPSC handles specular maps and in fact many of the sci-fi characters have these.
The thing about fpsc is that shaders work for some and not for others, in fact I sometimes find the shaders working fine for me then they just do strange things for no apparent reason, this is why I baked the spec and shadow highlights into the _d2 texture for those who have problems.
Coz also created a nice horror shader which requires a specular it can be found here:

It's not my fault. I'm an animal.

I call the red one Rosey. She's a bloody brick house.

I'm very happy with these, rolfy. They remind me of one of those 'classic' arcade-type zombie shooter games; which is what I started working as soon I bought them. Definately a 5/5!

Hi Rolfy, I'm interested in buying this pack but before I do, could you use the Horror Mod testing exe and see how the headshots and blood work please?

If those both work fine then I'll be buying this pack.

knxrb,
They work straight out of the box with Horror mod.
Both die anims fore and back work perfectly with blood appearing where it should, no need to drop any scripts into appear as the basic zombies have headshots enabled already. If you wanted the multi animation zombies to use the feature just add the line to main ai scripts.

Theres something real creepy about a headless zombie getting back up and coming at you

Very nice mod by the way

Wow, these are absolutely fantastic. I've just been having a play around with them in my new game and they are definately the new enemies!
And as you said the HM blood and headshots all work perfectly.

The spawning works perfectly, especially with my new spawning which changes the characters every spawn

Very good work, can't wait to see if you are making any more of them

I recommend these to everyone

Tanya there are probably two things going on here
1: Raise the zombies a little when placing in the editor this helps prevent them getting stuck in the floor, if you use the basic zombies with HM do not place the usual script in the appear slot as they are already headshot enabled and it may cause conflict
Maybe Knxrb will send you revised scripts for the multi animation zombies which will enable you to drop these straight into your game they prolly only require that extra line, I didnt actually try the mutation scripts but you may actually be ok to try the headshot/mutation scripts in appear of the multi zombies.

I'm using a custom version specifically designed/programmed for my game, it's built using the last released version of HM though.

It looks like they are getting stuck on the flooring or on each other.

I suggest trying it again with the following:
1. First try it with a different floor.
2. Then try it but place the characters further away from each other.
3. After that try placing them slightly above the floor like rolfy suggested.

It's very strange as they work perfectly for me

-Rolfy, your advice worked like a charm. Thanks!

-Knxrb, I think the reason why I was having trouble with the zombies...one word Vista..

Same here. Vista (or rather the DX10 inlcuded) makes textures of all dynamic objects look weird.

For some reason, I'd thought that the "dream" part of my name and having made an avatar of my cat with a star in the middle of her forehead would give it away. I'll try to be more frilly. Now, how do I make my font pink . . .

Has anyone any info on x10 these days for characters?, I dont own it so dont have a clue, but sure some update...maybe v1.09, made it easier to import x9 model.
I do know that scaling and texture naming, .dds, are important.
Has anyone tried to use these in x10 yet?

Thanks xplosys, I believe that x10 requires .dds, could you try converting the tga's to dds and change the texture reference in the fpe, if you require a dds image I would be happy to send you one, or you could snag the ones created in x9 if you have used 'em in that.
Would like to know if scale is still an issue.
Help me out and I'll send you something nice
