3 Dimensional Chat / patch 5 and loading models

im having problems loading"SOME" of my models with the new patch, they all worked in patch 4.

they are all .x models and some of them wont load and if i try they kill my program.

i can succesfully load the player model but the map and weapons wont load.

they are exported yusing panda exporter.

the only difference between the models is that the map and weapns were made from scratch but the model was imported as a .3ds model and then exported.

any ideas why some of my models wont load

i have all requirements for patch 5, how was the alien model turned into a .x model.

I've had this problem since update 5 too. If you're exporting the model using panda x and your model isnt animated then you must disable the bones and include animations options, otherwise your game will crash without explaination. This should fix the problem .

well it did not help i eaven made my sword animate(but not move) and exported it but it did not help. so once again im stuck... any other ideas.
i tried using the conv3ds and it worked but the model was too bright and not smoothed

use the set object specular for that brightness and check the ambient light levels you could also use set object command.
